As a blogger, you spend countless hours working on your blog.  Each week, you are busy writing blog posts, advertising your blog on social media, and all sorts of other stuff.  But what if you do all that work on your blog and no one actually comes to your blog to read it? Because honestly, the overall purpose of every blog is to give information to your readers.  Therefore, you need readers. And since most blog nowadays double as businesses too, you need readers to make sales.

I have been blogging for years and struggled with getting traffic to my blog.  But it’s worth noting that I wasn’t serious about blogging when I first started.  I was just kinda doing it for fun. So I really wasn’t tracking or focused on my blog traffic.  My twins were still babies and I was too overwhelmed with caring for them and a toddler to be a consistent blogger.

But things changed after life calmed down a bit  I really wanted to make a go of my blog and had heard a few times that Pinterest was good for getting traffic to blogs.  So I got real serious about trying to make money blogging and decided to look into using Pinterest as a way to send more traffic to my blog.

So, if you didn’t already know, using Pinterest is a great way to get traffic to your blog.  As you can see from the chart below, 80% of my blog traffic comes from Pinterest. I post regularly on all my social media channels – Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.  However, 99% of all the traffic to my blog from my social media accounts comes from Pinterest. Isn’t that crazy?!

In January 2018, I averaged about 44,000 monthly viewers on my Pinterest Page.  But in February 2018, I had over 95,000 viewers come to my Pinterest page. Wow! That’s a lot of folks. I wonder if I could have broken the 100,000 monthly viewer mark if February had 31 instead of 28 days. Well, now you know what one of my goals for March 2018 is – to get 100,000+ viewers to my Pinterest page.

So how did this newfound Pinterest traffic affect my blog?

Since using Pinterest as my main strategy to get blog traffic, 3 noticeable things have happened.

  1. My blog traffic has increased.  Each month since using Pinterest, my blog traffic has doubled.  Yay!
  2. I am getting email subscribers directly from Pinterest.  There is a popular saying in the online marketing world – “The money is on the list”.  Meaning, that the more email subscribers you have, the more money you can make. I don’t know about you, but it can be challenging acquiring email subscribers.  But it doesn’t have to be. I am always trying to get email subscribers using every method possible. I’ve created freebies, bought Facebook Ads, given webinars….  You name it. And using Pinterest is by far the easiest way I have ever gotten email subscribers.
  3. I am making sales.  More specifically, I am making passive income.  Bloggers make money numerous ways online. They can do things like sell a product or course to their email subscribers or coaching packages.  But the holy grail is making income passively. Now if you don’t know what passive income is, check out my blog post “Affiliate Marketing for Beginners” where I explain it in detail.  But what I noticed was that I was making a heck of a lot more passive income now that I was going hard on Pinterest.

So by now, I’m sure you want to learn the scoop, right?  You are probably asking yourself how did I learn to use Pinterest as a blog traffic, email subscriber and income booster?

Well, I learned how to use Pinterest to bring tons of traffic to my blog in the Pinterest Traffic Avalanche course.  It was created by Lauren and Alex, a couple who run a few blogs together.  I bought the course in April 2017. However, I didn’t start going through the course and applying the concepts to my blog until October-November 2017.  And to be honest, it took awhile for me to get my blog Pinterest ready. I had to rewrite old blog posts, create pins for all of my blog posts and all sorts of other stuff.  It was a fun process. But once I started blogging consistently and began pinning my blog post images on Pinterest, my blog traffic started to increase dramatically as you can see.

If you want to increase your blog traffic, get email subscribers and start making income online, then I highly recommend you sign up for the Pinterest Traffic Avalanche course today.  Just click the link below to enroll today.
